Mount Monadnock Hikers and Snow Foliage

Mount Monadnock Hikers and Snow Foliage

Hikers descend the Old Toll Road on Mount Monadnock through late fall foliage after the unusual Halloween blizzard of October 2011.

Mount Monadnock is one of the world's most-climbed mountains. Its barren summit was cleared by storms and a large fire likely set in the 19th century to eradicate wolves. All six New England states are visible from the summit.
